Adjusting to change in 2020
I wonder how you imagined your 2020 would be at the start of the year? What plans did you put into place which you had to change? Haven’t we learnt so much already this year!
I started off this year offering treatments and courses by Treptower Park at the lovely Salon Verde. In March I took the opportunity to move to Holzmarkt, a really cool and inspirational space next to the Spree. Unfortunately, two weeks after the studio move, we went into lockdown in Berlin due to covid-19.
For me the lockdown period was actually quite useful. I took time to complete some courses connected with business and manifestation (see Kimberley Wenya), and I was, thankfully, still able to work by teaching Reiki Courses online, and by offering Distance Reiki Treatments.
Towards the end of May I was able to start working again at Holzmarkt. However, with the increase of movement there I soon begun to realise that the location of my new studio wasn’t quite right for doing Reiki. There was often a lot of noise outside from passing trains, cars, and general noise such as the drinks areas being cleaned/ restocked, and the event venue opposite with a lot of people working in and around it.
What to do? Alongside using different studios, I have always had a treatment space available at home in my apartment in Kreuzberg. I initially felt a lot of resistance around working more from home, as I felt somehow it seemed unprofessional. It took me some time to realise that this was just a personal limiting belief, and a block I was creating for myself. The clients always really enjoyed visiting me at home, as the treatment room has a really lovely peaceful energy. In fact, I can honestly say it is the most serene and calming energy of any studio I have worked in!
So for now, I am working mostly from home, offering treatments and some smaller trainings here. For larger trainings I have use of the beautiful workshop space at Holographic Healing Nest.
If you’d like to book a treatment with me at home in Kreuzberg, you can do so here. I’d be happy to see you. :)
